Ruth Yorston is a Wellness Advocate who has always had a passion for giving back and helping those in need. While volunteering at the James House, who provides support, resources and care for victims and families of domestic abuse, she thought to ask staff about what they needed. Identifying that the staff often works with stressful and long cases, she had the idea to help staff with self-care modalities and resources to support them in their important work of caring for others.

She immediately went to work, developing an emotional aromatherapy program for the staff of James House. Gathering donated doTERRA® products from Wellness Advocates and applied for additional support from the doTERRA Healing Hands Foundation® raising $2,000 worth of doTERRA® Emotional Aromatherapy Touch Kits.

Ruth has been conducting staff trainings on the use and benefits of self-care. She's planning quarterly trainings to further support and train staff of the James House.
