Through our project, we aim to provide free eye check-ups for app. 750 vulnerable children in Romania. Many families deal with extreme poverty, illiteracy and sometimes absence of parents. One or both parents are sometimes in prison or working abroad. This makes acces to education and medical services difficult for many children. Education is the only solution for children to escape the cycle of poverty. And having good eyesight is a crucial part of being able to receive this education. The Good House Association started the ophthalmological caravan in May 2021, but they dont have all the necessary equipment to continue. Through the project, we aim to buy a specialized equipment for eye checkups. Also, we want to cover costs for consultations, glasses, and materials necessary for ophthalmological interventions for one year. They will also identify more serious eye-problems, needing urgent treatment and care. Let’s give a hand to these children and bring light to their eyes
