The Ananda Learning Centre is an educational space for children aged three to 12 years that gives priority access to the local Zapotec indigenous community. Our mission is to build, implement and disseminate a holistic education model that develops children's capabilities.
To achieve this, we need to complete our infrastructure. Our priority, at this time, is to change a roof that is constantly dripping and very cold. The roof covers the class room for students aged nine to 12. It was built 9 years ago with sacate, a local material similar to straw; we chose this material with the dream of being an example of construction with local materials. However, from the beginning it became very cold during the winter season, and in the rainy season it drips for five months making work within this space very difficult.
We are very grateful that you can contribute to this dream. In a spirit of service.
