Gignoo Transition House is a non-profit safe house in New Brunswick, Canada providing support to First Nation women and children who are survivors of domestic and intimate partner violence; be it physical, sexual, emotional, mental, spiritual and financial. All programs and services are provided in the context of cultural beliefs and values to ensure a holistic approach is used as part of their healing journey. doTERRA Canada is building a playground for the Indigenous children to have fun and play while taking refuge at Gignoo. Essential Sisters are raising funds to build an adjacent Outdoor Sanctuary for the Women at Gignoo. We are raising money to create an outdoor oasis for the women to enjoy safety and rest in nature while their children play, and to have a spot to host Indigenous ceremonies outside. This Sanctuary for Women will include beautiful outdoor seating, a fire pit, a water feature, garden and an area to gather. This will support over 60 women and children each year who come to Gignoo from homes of abuse and despair
