Africompassion runs a school in Kogaja, Mara, Tanzania for orphans who cannot enroll in public school because they cannot afford fees or uniforms. It began in 2017 with 4 students & now hosts 82 orphans. The building owner illegally evicted the school 1/2022. Africompassion owns 6 acres & has started preparing to build a school building there.. Villagers have been donating time & materials for manufacturing blocks (80% completed). Your funds will construct the building & drill a well for the school & village. There is no clean water source. The school provides 2 meals daily for the children, when able. Many of the children get 1 meal/day at home. Africompassion collaborates with the local villagers who will provide leadership by forming & running a well committee to maintain & manage the well, & donate labor for building & time to volunteer in the school as cooks, & teacher’s assistants.
