43% of children in Peru under the age of 5 are experiencing anemia due to extreme poverty. If left untreated, it greatly impacts brain health and development. ACF Church in partnership with Compassion Peru is raising funds in direct support to provide iron-fortified cookies as well as education for parents of children ages 4 to 5 in the Lima area. Through frontline church partners in the local population, healthcare providers would monitor and watch for any issues in the children for the duration of the project. 6500 children will benefit from these efforts to educate, treat, and prevent anemia.
