Gunjan Foundation’s mission is to educate the less fortunate who are unable to afford formal schools. They provide quality education to children of marginalized sections of society, to enable them to be at par with private school children. The Foundation reaches out to children of various slums in the surrounding areas of the school. They currently provide full education scholarships for 210 children from neighboring slums and 81 alumni students to further their education beyond 12th grade graduation this year. Covid has impacted India heavily and the Foundation has an urgent need to firmly establish a clinic for the students. Currently, they have a small clinic day on Tuesdays. This day, they are also serving the surrounding slum communities they feel compelled to help survive. Gunjun also lays a special emphasis on free education and social emancipation for the girl child.
