This is an event of great magnitude. One that without physically going to the Himalayas, brings participants the challenge of hiking the elevation of Mt. Everest, (29,029 feet) in under 36 hours. Additionally, I am bringing sponsors and donors on this adventure with me, to raise $30,000 to build a job skills training center in Nepal. I approach this event armed with a belief that my strength and training are needed for greater purpose. My heart is connected to very poor families in Nepal, living in slum conditions, with minimal opportunity. My 5 years of involvement with Eternal Hope International has taught me that education is survival to individual and community sustainability. I wanted to direct my personal growth, fitness and resources into helping others attain their own dreams. The training center will be built with earthquake and flood resistant earth bag construction.
