In a city of 100,000 plus people there is no education available for Deaf and Hard of Hearing children....... unless they are able to attend Hearing and Beyond. Every child starts school sad, lonely and socially isolated with no means of communication. Within days they begin to blossom like a flower. Their world has opened, They feel belonging, seen, heard and valued. They are learning life skills, subjects at their pace and communication level. They enjoy excursions out as an inclusive group.
With community support Hearing and Beyond provides the children and staff the opportunity of life the same as any other.
