Meeting our community’s needs is the key focus of Back in the Saddle Equine Therapy Center. BITS ETC recently started the Soar Program, which provides a mixture of therapeutic riding and mental health counseling to youth in the New Hampshire/Massachusetts area. This is crucial during this time of mental health crisis! The Soar Program is an eight-week program, consisting of a cohort of 6 youth. This program arms our youth with vital tools to face the challenges of today and the challenges they will face in the future as well. We have recently partnered with a local high school to provide the Soar Program for the entire school this summer. We will also be running our therapeutic riding day camp this summer, which provides therapeutic horse experiences and socio-emotional learning activities for children in need. To maintain these programs and broaden our reach to more schools, we need to expand.
