This proposal is to provide in-school education presentations in all 7 of our county school districts. We intend to target all local Jr. High and High School students (approximately 7,000.00 kids). The focus will be on topics of personal safety, respect, dating violence, power and control, self-defense and the free services provided by Eva’s Place. We have recently developed a new partnership with an in-school police officer and invested in his specialized training regarding domestic violence, power and control, sexual assaults, and dating violence and self-defense. The training focused on all the topics of this proposed prevention education program. This grant request is seeking funding to purchase additional materials to help support our prevention education initiative. The costs are a one-time program loading expenses that will carry the education program forward for several years and educate several of our area students.
