The current equipment is 30 years old and is from the local elementary school. It was well used when we received it from the school. The current playground is metal and gets very hot during the summer. The equipment wasn't made to protect against falls. A 3 year old fell 13 feet from the top of one of the platforms breaking his leg. The current playground sits on the grass. There is no "safety surface" under it. This new equipment requires that a safety surface be installed under it. This Star Valley community hosts many events at park the throughout the year including, a pancake breakfast, family reunions, holiday celebrations, Drive-in-Movie nights, trunk or treating, and car show. As the world continues to change, our park is a place where we can come together, and build lasting relationships and memories.
