While in Nepal in 2016 I was humbled by the harsh circumstances of the Nepalese people. Since then I've been inspired to help. This match program is the perfect opportunity to give back to those who grow our Wintergreen and their families. The main objective of this project is to empower students within our Nepal sourcing area to graduate from high school and thus break cycles of poverty within their families and community. These scholarships will provide annual funding for stationary, uniforms, and extracurricular activities for students with the greatest need. Students who receive scholarships are highly motivated to excel in school. Additionally, scholarships help parents deem their children worthy of attending school and thus support them in continuing their education beyond primary school. By helping students attend school and graduate, you are changing the world one drop, one person, one community at a time. 130 students will be receiving these scholarships!
