The Democratic Republic of Congo has been called "the rape capital of the world." The survivors have emotional and physical injuries, and they and their babies are shunned by family and society. Haven of Hope is a 12 month program which provides 75 women and their children food, housing, counseling, medical attention, job training and daycare. Our goal and the purpose of this fundraiser is to raise $50,000 to buy a plot of land nearby where our residents will learn to grow nutritious superfoods to supplement the provided meals.
