ROAM Humanitarian is heading to Cambodia in October with a team of volunteers to make a lasting impact in the community. Our projects focus on sustainability and self-sufficiency, with special emphasis on supporting low-income, orphaned, and rural village children. Volunteers will help complete a high school on a trash dump for low-income students and orphans by tiling, painting, and building a secure entrance to ensure a safe learning environment. We will also provide vision screenings, cover optometrist costs, and distribute high-quality prescription glasses at a rural school, allowing many to see clearly for the first time. Additionally, we will build a playground and provide the school with its first clean water system, including a tank and pumps. In a poverty-stricken village, we will support an English learning program for 200 children daily by building a reading center, garden, and playground.
