Dominican Starfish Foundation was started by a group of friends and family who traveled to the Dominican Republic for a vacation. Upon leaving the resort and see such great poverty in the community we came together and started a charity. Since April 2013 we have built 115 homes. We have built a school, a library, and a distribution center. During the Pandemic, we have fed over 10000 hungry families. We are now building a second level to our community center for classrooms. This will include volunteer ESL teachers. We are also creating space to facilitate volunteer medical teams.
