The dōTERRA Healing Hands Foundation grant allowed Harrington Center for the Arts to begin our Empowering Women in the Arts mentorship program. Over the course of six months each of the twenty female mentees was matched with a qualified mentor in their field of interest. Classes were specifically tailored to the needs of each mentee in order for them to develop the skills needed to achieve their dreams. These positive role models worked one-on-one with their mentee to answer questions, provide coaching and new professional opportunities. The mentorship program empowered each of these young women to make positive and sustainable change. We are working to empower women in the arts by building a supportive and collaborative community for creative women and mothers to connect with other like-minded creative females, share their creative story and expertise, collaborate and form creative partnerships, and flourish by using their core creative identity to feel purpose and fulfillment.

Female artists need help to attain increased visibility, comparable financial compensation, additional project support with the tools to increase their potential, and to create a strong network.
