Serving juvenile survivors of sexual exploitation and trafficking The Lampstand

We, The Ōil Well community, set out to raise $15,000 to aid in the purchase of a mini-van for The Lampstand, a safe home for vicitims of sex trafficing. This safe home is located in our local area and we saw it as an incredible opportunity to serve right here in our "backyard."

The Lampstand just opened its doors and is the only residential program in Virginia dedicated to serving juvenile survivors of sexual exploitation and trafficking. Their 90 day program will provide a safe space and comprehensive trauma-informed care for girls ages 12-17 years old.

The Lampstand exists to support survivors as they begin their journey of healing. They focus on safety, stability, therapy, spiritual growth, goal setting, life skills, and education.
