Imagine you are one of 830.000 people with deficiencies in a country where disability equals loss of independence and autonomy. It is an isolated life with social exclusion and discrimination.

For children from Bucharest and Iasi, the impossible becomes possible through climbing therapy. These children have hearing, physical, neuromotor, mental deficiencies, autistic spectrum disorder. Some of them are coming from very vulnerable families.

They are increasing their self-reliance, develop their independence and autonomy through climbing therapy. An integrated method, combining climbing with psychotherapy, physical therapy and personal development.

This project helped build special adaptive infrastructure: 4 thematic climbing walls with games, sensorial interactive climbing wall, climbing equipment that the children with disabilities can access for free and the integrated therapy can be more effective.

The thematic walls with autobelays encourage children to pass their limits and try climbing, learn to climb a leather, learn animals, geometric shapes, balance, coordination and have fun while at it.

Kilter-board - the reclining climbing wall, with software generated routes depending on difficulty needed and experience of the climber. The route holds are light so people with 1% vision can see them

Walls built with climbing holds provided through the project so more beneficiaries can be accommodated.
