The CAC is a hub for coordinated community response efforts. Law Enforcement, Victim Advocates,
Juvenile Officers, Mental Health, Children's Division and others from the community who have a role
in serving the adults, children and their families first throughout the investigation meet in the
uniquely designed CAC spaces. The Task Force is comprised of these agencies and the CAC personnel
are the direct person-to-person leadership coordinating services and response with these agencies for
the victims and their families as they enter the CAC.
Task Force Team Spaces include room for forensic interviewers, interns, an office manager, mental
health and administrators to do their child and family focused work. Additionally, the CAC houses the
DARE and School Resource Officer for the six rural school districts in Nodaway County. Each
multidisciplinary personnel member has a critical role in the response, intervention, treatment, and
prevention of child abuse for the region.
