This estimation does not include all other types of neurodevelopmental disorders. The picture this paints from a numerical standpoint is that in Romania there are approximately 560,000 people whose lives are affected by a related disability or burden, both in the case of the individual patients as well as family members. As things stand now, only over 60,000 children are diagnosed in Romania, they represent less than 1/3 of the total number of children with this condition and unfortunately 2/3 are not diagnosed. What is even sadder is the fact that less than 50% of diagnosed children benefit from specialized services. This situation can be encountered in Bucharest, and it certainly does not look better in the rest of the country.
