Tangu Utoto Foundation is a non – government organisation in Uganda providing tools that offer quality Education to children of 0-8 years of age in less privelliged communities of Uganda. The St. Luke nursery and primary school is a community and church founded school that we spotted in 2018 when Tangu Utoto foundation had just started its operational work. Children at this school have been learning under a temporary dilapidated reeds and mud building that they built themselves..These classrooms borrowed church benches and used them as student seats. There was also a shortage of latrines and a serious deterioration of the existing ones which belonged to the church. All the latrines were damaged and needed urgent attention to prevent danger.

Despite the challenges, children and teachers at St. Luke were passionate about education that they were always in class.

We constructed a fullyequipped semi – permanent four classroom block and a five stance pit latrine for St. Luke's.
