Canada Africa Community Health Alliance partnered with doTERRA Healing Hands to help build a modern working shop with two working rooms and space for storage which will allow the women’s business cooperatives to thrive. The building is completed and it now houses the Tchukudu Reusable Sanitary Pad Enterprise, a partnership with Days for Girls International. Our goal is to lessen the gender-based challenges faced by women in trying to create income generating opportunities. Research alarmingly shows us that women and girls suffer exponentially compared to their male counterparts, especially in countries in conflict. The Modern Working Shop has been a dream of the women since we began our training centre in 2014. Its completion builds confidence and empowers the women to make sustainable changes in their lives and the lives of their families and community.
