In Memory of Joe Whelan South Africa Preschool

We raised money to fund the complete construction of a new preschool in Nwedwe, South Africa with the organization, Build the Future. The school has two classroom buildings, a kitchen, two water tanks, playground equipment, and a garden. There is electricity in both classroom buildings, a rarity in the rural community. Over thirty members of the community were employed in the construction of the preschool. This is significant as the level of unemployment in South Africa is one of the highest levels in the world. Build the Future recognizes the importance early childhood education and healthy meals. They provide top-notch education and two meals every day for the preschoolers. Our entire world benefits from the healthy development of each child.
