The “Keep Kids Moving” program is designed to provide students ages 3 and up with developmental delays the opportunity to grow and improve. This demographic of children in our community would otherwise age out of their current, state-funded, early intervention program. The Healing Hands grant provided the financial resources for these kids to continue moving forward.

Our instructors reported that 100% of students enrolled showed improvement in their personal goals. We divided the successes of our participants into 3 categories. This included physical achievements, social confidence and emotional regulation, and lastly speech and communication. In physical achievement we witnessed 52% of the participants showed improved balance, physical awareness & gross motor coordination. 29% of kids showed improved linguistic and communication skill. Our instructors reported 19% of students improved social interaction and skills in emotion regulation, better interacting with family and friends.

The mission of Courage Reins Equine-Assisted Therapies is to improve the lives of individuals with physical, mental and emotional challenges through equine assisted therapies and activities.

52% of students showed distinct physical improvement. 19% of students showed improved social and emotional development. 29% of participants showed marked linguistic improvements.

Most notable and significant for one family was a marked reduction in violence when their son was overstimulated or frustrated.

144 volunteers reported a total 432 hours to supporting students, equine needs and lesson preparation. Their consistent dedication led to the steady influence our students needed to truly progress.

Thankyou for supporting our community in need!
