I am raising funds to give scholarships to send 20 women to midwifery school with Edna Adan Ismail in Hargeisa. The women of Sanaag can significantly benefit from having midwives with proper training in their village. This is a passion project of mine, and I know that together we can raise funds to help the survival rate of newborns and mothers in Sanaag. Please help me empower and educate these women in desperate need of our help. Most babies in Sanaag are born at home without the assistance of a midwife. By sending 20 women to midwifery school, we are educating women to assist mothers to birth their babies safely at home and recognize when to seek medical attention at the Sanaag Specialty Hospital. We can make a difference and change the current circumstances to save thousands of lives. Together we will empower the women of Sanaag for generations to come.
