Our family will be living and working at Happy Horizons Children’s Ranch, a home for girls rescued out of sex trafficking in the Philippines. 60 girls live at the ranch permanently and many are involved in active cases prosecuting their perpetrators. We will live with the girls for 1-2 years showing them love in the everyday tasks of life. We plan to use oils to assist with physical and emotional healing for the girls. Lara is also a NICU nurse and has specialized training in a program called Helping Babies Breath that teaches developing countries how to resuscitate newborns when limited resources are available. She will be providing training and basic equipment to medical personnel and lay midwives who deliver babies in remote and impoverished areas.
