Chemists Without Borders has been working in Bangladesh on the problem of arsenic contamination of drinking water for the past six years. We have tested a number of wells for arsenic, given talks about arsenic awareness at high schools, developed a Health Education Course, and held numerous meetings with students, school officials, and members of the community. This project will test drinking water from wells in Bangladesh for arsenic and provide safe drinking water to 300 families (2,000 individuals).
