Helping individuals & communities achieve self-reliance is a big job. We partner with organizations and Advocates who help us empower impoverished communities, fight human trafficking, and respond to natural disasters.
We’re seeking to empower communities worldwide to make sustainable change by supporting initiatives that alleviate extreme poverty, improve quality of life, and ensure basic human rights.
Humanitarian work isn’t always traveling to faraway places or organizing large-scale projects. We believe that empowering individuals to engage however they can is enough to change the world.

The Uganda Leadership and Development Program (UGLDP) trains young people – ages 15 to 30 – and community leaders from across areas where Children’s HopeChest operates in Uganda. The training is residential, with a maximum of 40 participants at a time. The program consists of two categories: leadership and entrepreneurship. The training lasts over two years with guidance and observation from dedicated mentors. Funds received from this campaign will be used to fuel numerous aspects of the UGLDP, including (but not limited to) the purchase of the training materials, the participant’s board in the residential phase of training, and the local expertise and training curriculum of Ugandan leaders.
