It’s estimated that only 0.4% of victims have been identified, and only one out of 100 victims of trafficking is ever rescued. (2010 TIP Report, U.S. Department of State; U.N. Office on Drugs and Crime)
But in Utah, law enforcement is willing to implement new technologies that can change those statistics. For example, when a child goes missing, an Amber Alert takes at least one day simply to alert the public. One Utah technology boiled that process down to minutes. After seeing that tech in action, a SWAT team commander was in tears, saying, “This is what we waited for our entire careers.”
This fundraiser will help launch an investigative tool to find trafficked persons in Utah. It will enable law enforcement to free people from human trafficking and break the cycle of slavery. When you contribute to this goal, you will help bring people home.
