Two local 8th graders have partnered with their school to fill 100 backpacks with basic essentials parents often forget when their child has a long hospital stay at the Minneapolis Children's Hospital. The project was started by a local family who, after their young son was diagnosed with cancer three years ago, realized how unprepared they were for a 10 day stay at the hospital. In an effort to give back, they started this project called "Parent Essential Bags." These 8th graders are inviting students and families, faculty and staff, and local businesses to help support their project.
