The Garland Oaks home is a place where girls can stay as long as they need to recover from the trauma they have endured. I work as an educator for Garland Oaks and what this home will be for the girls that will choose to live there. There is so much that goes into building a recovery home like this and we need a bigger awareness around what is happening in our own states. Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking is not a problem many know about and thousands are affected just in the state of Tennessee each year and the number is growing.
