Started by a Nigerian immigrant in Utah, GK Folks aims to empower and support Black Americans, and African immigrants and refugees as they pursue their education and business goals. GK Folks provides scholarships, mentoring and mental health resources for members of the Black community and has partnered with the International Rescue Committee to connect small Black-owned businesses with financial assistance, marketing support and business counseling. GK Folks also celebrates the rich heritage and culture of Black Americans and the African people every year with the AfroUtah Festival. Join us as we celebrate the contributions and sacrifices of the Black community and lend our support to the next generation of black leaders and business owners.
