We are extremely excited to support 17 of the most vulnerable individuals living in the Ankaful leprosy community in Ghana, West Africa. This new business venture is open to lepers and their family members as the family members of people with leprosy are often discriminated against and face tremendous obstacles in securing employment. As a result, the whole community suffers. Our partners in Ghana (RUFA) will be providing coaching in entrepreneurship, business support, and advisory services to support the economic activities of each participant throughout the next year. The money that each individual receives to establish or expand their business, will be paid back to RUFA by the individual, and then used to support another leper/family member through the Revolving Fund Scheme. So each donation given, truly becomes the gift that keeps on giving!
