Established in 2020, A Healthier You, Inc. (AHY) is a 501 (c)(3), an organization located in the Prince George's County, MD which is 62% Black and 20% Hispanic with a poverty rate of over 8%. The county has long struggled with health disparities in chronic diseases, infant mortality. By focusing on prevention methods using yoga, meditation, and lifestyle changes, A Healthier You, Inc. will offer to individuals and communities a healthy lifestyle program which will include, yoga, meditation and healthy eating. Through our program we will: a) guide participants through yoga and meditation to promote participants physical and emotional wellness; Through our program we will: a) guide participants through yoga and meditation to promote participants physical and emotional wellness; b) provide social engagement for 50 -100 adults to interact and enhance well-being; and, c) provide a weekly program that will empower individuals with tools and resources to improve and live a healthier life.
