The Dagbreek centre is a safe haven for children and young adults with a developmental delay. It offers a safe and relaxed farm atmosphere which is conducive for the development of life skills and mastering functional literacy and numeracy. The focus is on the needs and abilities of each individual, and the learners are supported and stimulated to reach their full potential. . They learn through interaction and participation inside and outside the classroom. The centre carries its own financial load, without subsidies from government, and is dependent on donations and contributions from the parents. The COVID19 pandemic had a severe impact on the centre, with a dramatic decreased in economic independence. Economic circumstances are still very challenging, Our purpose is to support ‘Dagbreek’ financially with your help! Funds will be used to create a safe outdoor learning environment, for maintenance of the vegetale tunnels and medical care for children.
